ICI is currently underway on the construction of two significant retail developments for Kensington Development Partners.
ICI is scheduled to deliver Market Centre, in the town of Westmont, 20 miles west of Chicago, first. Prior to ICI’s arrival, the 12-acre site at the corner of 63rd Street and Cass Avenue was an underdeveloped strip. Several retail stores were closed, even though the area has seen population growth and nearby retail establishments were booming. Prior to Kensington’s acquisition of the land, ICI worked alongside them for a period of 10 months preparing cost models and a series of construction schedules.
The new development will feature 112K SF of retail. Three tenants have already been secured for the development: Starbucks, Raising Cane’s and anchor tenant, LA Fitness.
