ICI completed a neutral distributive antennae system (DAS) building at the home of the Chicago White Sox. The two-story, 2,800 square foot building located outside of right field was built for Verizon Wireless to house their wireless equipment for enhancing cell service at the ballpark. Verizon utilized one floor of the building while other wireless carriers in the area rented space on the other floor for their wireless equipment.
During this fast-track project, all subcontractors, suppliers and personnel had to go through ballpark security each day while working around the ballparkās schedule for deliveries and events; sometimes working weekends and multiple shifts to maintain the accelerated schedule. This masonry split-face block building was constructed through the winter and completed in the early spring prior to the start of the season.
