In 2003, Mistwood Golf Club came under new ownership with a vision for making the course and its facilities into a premier golf club. The course was completely redesigned and in doing so became one of most extensive public course renovation projects in the country. To complete the master plan, Mistwood hired ICI to serve as the Construction Manager for a new clubhouse facility. The clubhouse was designed by Daniel Wohlfeil Design, Ltd. in the style of a Scottish Village. It replaced an existing facility that was demolished as part of the project. The establishment now has a clubhouse facility of equal caliber to their course.
The new clubhouse facility consists of 27,000 square feet on two levels. Major components of the clubhouse include a large banquet room complete with views of the golf course beyond, elaborate stone fireplaces and vaulted ceilings; new a Scottish pub called McWethy’s Tavern also with views of the golf course, indoor/outdoor spaces, a pro shop, club locker rooms, cart storage and administrative space for the facilities’ staff.
Construction began in 2014 and was completed in the fall of 2015. The golf course remained operational throughout construction. ICI partnered closely with course management to ensure the safety of patrons and also to minimize disruption to course operations.
