Walmart Store Olympia Fields

ICI completed the ground-up 183,000-square-foot Walmart Store in Olympia Fields, Illinois in the fall of 2016. The store was built on a 16-acre site that was formerly occupied by a Currie Motors auto dealership.

The main entrance to the store faces Western Avenue, with access also from U.S. 30. Wal-Walmart’s arrival revived the Olympia Corners shopping center at the southwest corner of U.S. 30 and Western Avenue. The shopping center suffered a major loss when its anchor tenant, Jewel-Osco, closed in 2011. The arrival of Walmart generated new interest from developers in the 14-acre shopping center.
