If I polled our clients today and asked them what their experience with ICI’s construction delivery is like at this very moment, more than anything I would hope and expect a response akin to “steadfast.” Our approach has always been process-driven for consistent results. This has proven to be a critical element to successful delivery in 2020; when many aspects of the construction industry (and the world at large) are atypical. Despite each of our lives being impacted by challenges large and small around us, we are pressing forward, thriving as a business, connecting on a deeper level as a team, remaining mindful of the effects COVID-19 has had on our clients’ operations and as always, steadfast in our commitment to client service and strong construction delivery.
A few updates –
- ICI recently launched a new website! It’s now easier than ever to see videos and photos of our work, view webcams with live footage of active job sites and get a sense of the culture that defines ICI.
- This summer, ICI was awarded our fourth project with The Exchange Auto Group: The Audi Exchange in St. Charles. Construction recently began on this ground up dealership and completion is scheduled for fall 2021. Additionally, Fields Porsche Jacksonville is well underway and will be turned over in early 2021. The new dealership is ICI’s 27th project with the Fields Auto Group during the span of our 20+ year partnership.
- ICI is actively working with 9 Illinois school districts and we are concluding a multitude of renovations, expansions as well as a new construction elementary school. Elmhurst CUSD 205 is among the most active school districts and ICI is currently implementing a major multi-year capital improvement plan during which we will make improvements to each of the District’s schools. Some of the construction is for long-standing clients such as New Lenox SD 122, Elmwood Park CUSD 401, Burbank SD 111 and Woodridge SD 68; and some is for newer working relationships such as Plainfield SD 202, Addison SD 4, Lincolnshire Prairie View SD 103 and Prairie Grove SD 46.
- Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Schaumburg, Illinois is scheduled to open soon. The restaurant will feature a brand-new look and ICI is excited to be a part of now a second location in the Chicago area. Additionally, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is moving forward this month with the construction of their Scottsdale, Arizona location with ICI as general contractor. We are also engaged for the construction of 2 more upcoming locations as construction manager.
- Throughout the past two years, ICI has served as construction manager for Kensington Development and IM Properties on two major Chicago-area retail redevelopments: Sawmill Station and Westmont Market Centre. ICI is nearing completion on both projects and retailers are anticipated to open in 2020.
