The Century Oaks Elementary School addition and renovations project is part of Elgin School District’s “Unite U-46” initiative to ensure that every school meets modern standards for capacity, accessibility, and functionality.
The scope of work at Century Oaks includes approximately 19,000 square feet of additions and 35,000 square feet of interior renovations to improve natural light, student circulation, and learning environments. Parking, traffic flow and play areas will also be improved as part of the project. While a portion of the north lot will be used to create a larger parking and drop-off area to improve safety and efficiency, the final site area will remain as green space.
Construction is scheduled to be completed prior to the start of the 2027 school year.
